Good selection of Arduino board and accessories to get started. The online book is also helpful to start assembling and using the kit quickly. I also bought and use the book "Getting Started with Adruino" by Massimo Banzi and Michael Shiloh. It's a good pairing, but you'll have to buy more parts to complete some of the projects in the book (e.g. the water irrigation system.) All in all a good value for money.
