We really enjoy playing this Uncommon Sense card game. The cards are a good large size, colourful, and easy to read, even when the words become more challenging.
There is a great variety of categories, including food, places, movies, TV shows, objects, and actions, which helps keep the game fresh and interesting. The rules are generally clear and easy to follow, although we could not find guidance on what happens if a player accidentally says the target word. We simply treated it as the end of that player's turn.
The components feel well made and durable. The cards are sturdy, comfortable to hold, and should stand up well to repeated use. The game is also very portable, making it easy to take on trips or play while travelling.
The gameplay is straightforward. Players describe a word without using actions, rhyming, or other languages, while others try to guess it. If the word is guessed correctly, the card is won, and the player with the most cards at the end wins.
We can certainly see why it is called Uncommon Sense. Some of the words are surprisingly difficult to describe, which creates plenty of laughter and some genuinely challenging moments. It is a fun game that gets everyone thinking and communicating creatively.
Overall, this is an enjoyable family game that is easy to learn, portable, and offers plenty of replay value. We are very happy with it, and the whole family enjoys playing it.

This is a good game to play with lots of people and one of those ones that you could play anyway, but having the cards means you don't have to think up your own suggestions and it formalises play a little. You basically roll the die for a category and then have to verbally describe the relevant word on as many cards as your team can guess in sixty seconds.
The box suggests age 10 up but we played with a six year old all the way up to pensioners. The youngest didn't know what some things were, but then everyone got stumped at some point as there are a lot of unusual things listed e.g. world cuisines (fartura, bibimbap, tamale) and films that must have passed us by – so you do have to be quite culturally aware! This is the only reason I marked it down a star as it feels like there is an non-UK slant.
The cards are mostly quite clear to read and its an easy one to store in the car or take on holiday to fill waiting time gaps if needed.
It doesn't contain a timer which I think is a sensible move as it cuts down on plastic and cost and within a group someone will have a watch or phone to use!

This is a game that is played with teams. There are different categories: food, places, movies/tv shows, objects, actions, plus a bonus Choose Your Category. You roll the die to see which category you get.
You will get a word on the card you get from your category. Then you have 60 seconds to try to get your team to say the card. Of course, you can’t say the word while doing this. One problem, the word is always something unusual, maybe a word that people have never heard before. This is easy to play.
Get ready to laugh a lot when playing this. It is lots of fun hearing the answers or doing the things trying to get them to get the word correctly.
The card and die are well made in a good box. All look durable and made from good quality material.
This sold for $14.97 when I ordered this and it is worth that for a fun, easy game. That price is not out-of-line of other games.
Large to small amounts of people can play this, and it is suggested for ages 10 plus. This works for groups of people of mixed ages, or all the same.
This is good for family nights, get together with friends, church groups, family reunions and other gatherings. Make sure to take this along when going camping, on vacation or traveling.
This is a great game that I long to play.
